(b. in 1920) A photographer, a builder of Nowa Huta. He is based in the humanist tradition and concentrates on man in his photographs. Just like Robert Doisneau, whose work is similar, Pental's photographs focus on a single subject, which is Nowa Huta with man in the centre of his attention. Pental treats his subjects with a warm, affectionate sense of humour and never with aloofness.
