The Imago Mundi Foundation, in partnership with the Malopolska Cultural Institute, invites fifteen Polish photographers to travel across the Małopolska region, cameras in hand, over a few months in 2006. Half of the photographers hailed from the region, the other from other parts of the country. Thanks to this the "Małopolska. Photographs. Unclarified" project was far from any crude picture-postcard imagery.
The photographs played a jocular game with the viewer, also creating a modern vision of what is really of interest in the region, not just for first-time visitors, but for residents alike. Since the project was completed its ongoing promotion has continued in Poland and abroad. Some of the photographs were displayed on Krakow’s Main Market Square in October 2006, with the exhibition moving to Cork (Ireland) and Erfurt (Germany) in November and December 2007 respectively.
The project was also accompanied by a photographic album under the same name and was co-produced in 2007 by the Imago Mundi Foundation and the Malopolska Cultural Institute.
